At Elite, we understand that this is a big step and you may not know where to begin to organise your trip to the UK, so below we have outlined some frequently asked questions.
How soon should I contact Elite before I am due to arrive in the UK?
As soon as you have decided on a date to come to the UK, contact us. It can take some time to get things organised so the sooner we hear from you the sooner we will be able to advise you and ensure that by the time you arrive in the UK you will be ready to work. The majority of our overseas dietitians have a position already secured for them upon their arrival in the UK.
What documentation will I need to provide?
To register with Elite we will need to have the following documentation
A recognised and relevant Degree (you must be able to provide certificates)
An up to date CV, outlining all relevant work experience including dates
Two professional references – ideally from your most recent employers/University
HPC Certificate (please see below)
· Proof of your identity (e.g. Passport, Driving Licence, Birth Certificate)
· Proof of your eligibility to work in the UK (e.g. Visa, Ancestry Visa).

Which professional body do I need to register with?
To work as a dietitian in the UK you will need to register with the Health Professionals Council www.hpc-uk.org. This process can take up to 3 months so allow plenty of time to start the registration.
How will I get paid for the work I do?
When we find you a position you will be given an hourly pay rate, pay rates vary depending on the level of experience you have. At the end of each week you will submit a timesheet to Elite indicating the hours you have worked and we will pay you for the total hours worked, payment is made one week in arrears. If you need help in setting up a UK bank account we can also assist with this.
